VENETIAN SLOVENIA

'Venetian Slovenia' (Italian '''Slavia Veneta''', Slovenian '''Beneška Slovenija''') is a small region in northeastern Italy, in the mountainous area between the towns of Cividale del Friuli and Tarcento and the Slovenian border. close to the the border. It has a significant Slovenian minority.
It comprises the municipalities of San Pietro al Natisone, San Leonardo, Drenchia, Grimacco, Stregna, Savogna di Cividale, Lusevera, Taipana, Torreano, Resia and the montainous areas of the municipalities of Tarcento, Nimis, Attimis, Faedis, Prepotto. Parts of the municipalities of Cividale del Friuli and Montenars are also included.
