VERNON CARRINGTON

'Vernon Carrington' (November 1, 1936 - March 22, 2005) founded the Twelve Tribes of Israel branch of the Rastafari movement in 1968. He was also called the Prophet Gad. Members of the Twelve Tribes of Israel view Carrington as a true prophet who has begun the repatriation of rastafarians to Africa, the homeland.
As the only doctrine this very significant and often recited guideline was given out by him:
"Read your Bible one chapter a day from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22 and find the truth for yourself."
