VICTORIAN GOTHIC

'Victorian Gothic' refers to a revival style that used medieval architectural forms, and took place during the reign of the British monarch Victoria I. Her reign lasted from 20 June 1837 to 22 January 1901. The term is Anglocentric and as the style both predates and continued after her reign and beyond her realm, a more generally accepted term Gothic Revival, which is not limited in its application to Britain or British Commonwealth nations, is often used.
