The 'Vinschgau Valley' (, , ), or 'Venosta Valley', is the upper part of the
Adige (; ) river valley, in the western part of the province of
Bolzano-Bozen,
Italy.
The valley runs in a west-east orientation, between the
Resia Pass and
Merano (; ). Due to a rather warm climate and a lack of rain (400mm per year), the
apple orchards there are irrigated. According to the 2001 census, 97% of the population of the valley speaks German as a first language, and 3% Italian.
Vinschgau (Venosta) Valley is also the name of a district (, ), in which the 13 municipalities of the cooperate. These municipalities are:

Graun im Vinschgau (Curon Venosta),
Kastelbell-Tschars (Castelbello-Ciardes),
Laas (Lasa),
Latsch (Laces),
Mals (Malles Venosta),
Martell (Martello),

Schnals (Senales),
Stilfs (Stelvio), and
Taufers im Münstertal (Tubre).
