'Virage' are a fictional species from the Playstation game Legend of Dragoon. The Virage Embyro and Virage are specified to be the 108th species.
Virage were a super species used by Winglies to combat humans and dragoons during the Dragon Campaign. They were the Winglies' equvilant to Dragons and some survived to the modern day. Virage reacted to the Moon Child's presence on several occasions and also guarded the Moon That Never Sets while the Virage Embryo started the process of being born.
The Virage's weak point lies in its arms, which are weak and if removed leave the creature mostly defenseless. The exception would be the Super Virage, a mutant strain of Virage with a huge cannon and tentacles for arms.
While the Virage are supposedly a more advanced species, the Black Burst Dragon Michael had no problems killing several Virage during the battle of Kadessa.
