WCQS
'WCQS' FM 88.1 is a public radio station based in Asheville, North Carolina. Its slogan is "NPR news, classical music & more", and it is the flagship station for Western North Carolina Public Radio.

WYQS FM, 90.5 in Mars Hill was assigned from Mars Hill College in 2004, and will be used as a separate station.
There are also applications for translators in Hendersonville, Balsam, and Asheville, though it is not yet confirmed to which stations these (or the three currently permitted for construction) would belong.
WCQS can also be heard via cable FM on 104.5 in Asheville and 90.7 in Brevard.
