History

WEZB has been the prominent heritage Top 40/CHR radio broadcast station in the New Orleans, LA metropolitan area since June 1980, except for a break between 1994 and 2000 when it made a detour to Talk and Adult Top 40. The station became arguably more Rhythmic in its musical format before making the shift in 2005 to its current true Top 40 approach. WEZB was also a member of the United Radio Broadcasters of New Orleans, an alliance of broadcast stations formed by the joint ventures of WEZB's parent company, Entercom Communications with Clear Channel Communications, during Hurricane Katrina in September of 2005.
WEZB's current slogan and/or positioning statement is '"All The Hits,"' as of February, 2007. WEZB on-air radio imaging and/or station voice is Will Morgan, an accomplished professional voice talent based in California. WEZB's Program Director is Mike Kaplan, with Ken Beck as General Manager, as of February 2007. The station has no radio jingles.
WEZB's transmitter is located on the ''i49'' (WPXL-TV) tower in Algiers, LA.
WEZB's business office and studio is located at 400 Poydras Street, Suite 800, New Orleans, LA, 70130.
The Request Line can be reached by calling 1-888-340-9797, or (504) 260-9797.
