 | Rudolf Schock: Ach, ich hab' in meinem Herzen From the opera "Schwarzer Peter" by Norbert Schultze and Walter Lieck. Apparently this was one of Schock's favourite songs in his huge repetoire. Ich bedanke mich, daß mehrere Kommentare hinzugefügt haben, daß der Schock hier mit den Schaumburger Märchensängern gesungen hat. Also heard is The Obernkirchen Children's Choir from north Germany. This choir may be remembered for having won first prize at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod in 1953 with their song "Mein Vater war ein Wandersmann" or by its English version "The happy wanderer". ***Note that this song is now the Video response*** German text followed by my effort to translate it.
