WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST

Hansen Pond

'Wasatch-Cache National Forest' is a national forest located in Utah. The name is from the Ute word ''Wasatch'' for a low place in high mountains, and the French word ''Cache'' meaning to hide. It was originally a term that referred to fur trappers, the first Europeans to visit the land. The forest boundaries include over 2 million acres (8000 km²) of land.
