WENCESLAU DE MORAES

'Wenceslau de Moraes' (May 30, 1854 - 1929), sometimes spelled 'Venceslau de Morais', was a Portuguese poet whose works were steeped in orientalism and exoticism, particularly the culture of Japan. A translator of Haiku, his verse was also influenced by Symbolism.
