'Westminster Senior High School' is a high school located in Westminster, Maryland, United States.
Westminster High School

The school, which is a part of the Carroll County Public School System (CCPS), has an enrollment of approximately 1,900 students, down from the 2,300 students it had before the opening of two new high schools in the area. It is the largest and the oldest high school in the Carroll County Public School System and is one of the largest high schools in the state of Maryland. The current principal is Mr. John Seaman.

Westminster High School

Westminster High School has a long tradition of excellence in Carroll County high school athletics. Brandon Scott Seibol played for the Owls for 4 years. He became the first ever player to go from High school football into the NFL. Richard Del Leister who is now in the NFL was once the star Linebacker for the WHS football team. He played for 4 years on varsity and started 3. Another Owl who made it to the NFL is Eric Matthew Belt. He play 3 years for varsity and now plays as a Colt. Jesse O'Connell, class of 2000, helped win four consecutive state Cross Country titles and several track&field titles for Westminster; he subsequently became an All-American half-miler, attended the 2004 Olympic Trials, and ran for the Santa Monica Track Club.
Westminster High School varsity baseball team won the class 3A state championships on Saturday May 26th 2007. The final score of the game was 4 to 1. On the same day, John Lopez, won a class 3A state title in the 110 meter hurdles at Morgan State University.

Marching Band


The Award Winning Westminster High School Marching Band

The Westminster High School Owls Marching Band is under the direction of Brian Drake and Mark Lortz. It is the first band from Maryland to participate in a Bands of America competition, including the Grand National Championships held in the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana. It recently won the 2002 Atlantic Coast Championship, a TOB-sanctioned competition, and won a Bands of America Regional competition in 2003. It has participated in the Bands of America Grand National Championship for two years and has placed 21st and 37th, respectively, for 2004 and 2005.
The field show for 2007 is entitled ''Beyond the Stars'' under the direction of Kirsten Bickford.
