WILLIAM B. TRAVIS ACADEMY/VANGUARD FOR THE ACADEMICALLY TALENTED AND GIFTED
'William B. Travis Academy/Vanguard for the Academically Talented and Gifted' is a primary and secondary school in the Uptown area of Dallas, Texas (USA).
The school is operated by the Dallas Independent School District and is designed for academically talented and gifted students in grades 4 through 8. The magnet school was created in 2000 to address the academic and social needs of approximately 400 talented and gifted students.
Many Travis students go on to the Science and Engineering Magnet or the School for the Talented & Gifted.
Travis has a mandatory school uniform, as the entire DISD has this policy for students in grades K through 8.
Students may wear white or Kelly Green polo, oxford, or turtleneck shirts.
Students may wear black, blue, or khaki pants, shorts, or skirts.
Travis serves students in grades 4-8.
