WINSTON HILLS, NEW SOUTH WALES

'Winston Hills' is a suburb in Parramatta City Council, 28 kilometers North-West of Sydney, Australia. It has a population of around 7,000 people. The suburb was named after Britain's war-time Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965).
In the early days, however, it was named Model Farms as this was the area where a model farm was developed to show settlers the types of crops that could be grown in different seasons. However, The development of the suburb was mainly completed during the 1960s.
There are two state primary schools, ''Winston Hills Public School'' and ''Winston Heights Public School'' and a Catholic primary school, ''St. Paul the Apostle'' in Winston Hills. There is also much bushland in the area with dense vegetation, creeks and wildlife. The town is also complete with both Winston Hills Girl Guides, Scouts and junior soccer, rugby league and netball clubs.
Winston Hills Junior Rugby League is the oldest sporting club in Winston Hills.
