'Wolfgang Huber' (August 12, 1942) is the current bishop of Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia. Bishop Dr. Wolfgang Huber has been Chairman of the Council of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) since 2003 and succeeded Manfred Kock.
Huber was the youngest of five brothers and lived during his childhod in Black Forest in south-west Germany. He married Kara Huber and is father of three sons. His mother was a lawyer and his father was Ernst Rudolf Huber. He was a member of the ''Christliche Pfadfinderschaft Deutschlands'' (a predecessor of the Verband Christlicher Pfadfinderinnen und Pfadfinder) and is an active Kreuzpfadfinder, an adult member of Protestant Scouting in Germany. Huber is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany.
