WORLD PRAYER CENTER
The 'World Prayer Center', located in northern Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was founded by Ted Haggard in 1998 and serves as the center of operations for worldprayerteam.org, an online, real-time prayer network.
In 2007, Pastor David Perkins became director of the WPC (often called "woop-cee" by students). There are a number of ministry internships based at The World Prayer Center, including theFurnace, YWAM Strategic Initiatives, TwentyFourSeven Worldwide, and Desperation Internship. New Life's weekly college group, theMILL, also has offices at the center (Pastor Aaron Stern leads both theMILL and TwentyFourSeven.)

Located on the campus of New Life Church in Colorado Springs, the WPC holds a multitude of events and programs such as, Terry MacAlmond Ministries and is the home base for Twentyfourseven and Desperation, college aged missions ministries focusing on prayer and spirtual growth.
Built in 1998 the World Prayer Center continues it's 24 hour 7 day a week focus on prayer for the nations. In 1999 the WPC was the fulcrum for the 2000 A.D. movement in which hundreds of thousands of people joined together in small groups and over the internet to pray for the 10/40 window, the area between lattitudes 10 and forty considered the least reached sections of the earth for the Gospel. The WPC is the home base for worldprayerteam.org, the largest ongoing prayer meeting in the world. The website never has less than 60,000 people on a day.
