'Xfm' is a brand of commercial radio stations focused on alternative music, primarily indie, and owned by GCap Media in the United Kingdom. Xfm was created in 1997 in London, but has since expanded to several stations. Each station produces its own content, with little syndication.
Current stations include:
★ Xfm London has been broadcasting since 1997.
★ Xfm Manchester was launched on 15 March 2006.
★ Xfm Scotland, previously known as ''Beat 106'', was launched on 4 January 2006.
★ Mi Xfm, a 'personalised radio player' with no commercials or DJs was launched in February 2007.
★ Xfm South Wales won a licence on 8 May 2007
