YEAR ONE

:''This article is about the political phrase. For the American muscle car club, see Year One Muscle Cars''.
''For the school year see Year One (School)''.
The term '"Year One"' can just mean the beginning of something, but in political history it usually refers to the institution of radical, revolutionary change. This usage dates from the time of the French Revolution: after the abolition of the French monarchy (September 20, 1792), the National Convention instituted the new French Revolutionary Calendar, declaring that date as the beginning of the Year I of the French Republic.
Frank Miller adopted this term for his highly praised graphic novel ''. This graphic novel firmly established the expression later used in other comic books such as ''Green Arrow: Year One'' and ''Nightwing: Year One''.
