YORKSHIRE POST
The '''Yorkshire Post''' is a daily broadsheet newspaper, published in Leeds, England by Yorkshire Post Newspapers.
The paper was founded in 1754, as the ''Leedes Intelligencer'', making it one of Britain's first daily newspapers. Like ''The Scotsman'', it has the look and feel of a national broadsheet, rather than a local news carrier. Its focus on international and national news gives it a wider focus than that usually associated with a provincial newspaper; editions are also available daily in central London. It is generally considered to be on the right of the political spectrum, supporting the Conservative Party (indeed its owners used to be known as Yorkshire Conservative Newspapers Limited until the 1960s) and bitterly opposing the ban on hunting.
Yorkshire Post Newspapers Ltd is a company owned by Johnston Publishing.
Yorkshire post is based in Leeds and currently employees over 1000 people, over the last few years many people have been made redundant due to the new structure of the company.
Over 20 papers are issued from the Leeds site these titles include the Metro, Pudsey Times, Yorkshire Evening Post.
