YOUNGS RIVER FALLS
'Youngs River Falls' is a scenic 65-ft (20 m) waterfall on the Youngs River in northwestern Oregon in the United States. The falls are located in central Clatsop County, approximately 10 mi (16 km) south of Astoria.
The first white settlers to discover the falls were members of a hunting party from the Lewis and Clark Expedition in March 1806. The falls are viewable from a roadside parking lot. They are popular recreational destination for sightseeing, hiking, as well as swimming in the pool below the falls. The falls often appear in television commercials and have also appeared in two movies: ''Free Willy 2'' and ''Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3''.
