ZABAYKALSKY KRAI

'Zabaykalsky Krai' () is a new federal subject of Russia (a krai) that is scheduled to come into being as a merger of Chita Oblast and Agin-Buryat Autonomous Okrug, after a referendum held on the issue on 11 March, 2007. The date of merger has been set for March 1, 2008.
