ZACK MARTIN

'Zackary "Zack" Martin' is a fictional character from Disney Channel's television series, ''The Suite Life of Zack & Cody'', portrayed by Dylan Sprouse. He and his brother were born on September 23,1992, as seen in their video in the episode Poor Little Rich Girl. He is older than his twin brother Cody Martin by ten minutes. He is more like his father while Cody is more like their mother.

Zack has a more "cool" attitude and does not have as much knowledge or common sense as Cody because Zack's mind is full of thoughts relating to girls and video games. There has, however, been a few episodes where Zack has been more rational than Cody, such as ''Christmas at the Tipton''. According to the show, Zack has only gotten 2 Bs (one of the B is mentioned as a 85) and 2 As (one of the As is the report he did on Hugh Mulzac) in school. While he is not the best student academically, in the episode ''Books & Birdhouses'' he showed that he is extremely apt at wood shop, to the point that his teacher decided to recommend him for advanced placement wood shop.
Zack is the more troublesome of the twins. They are both are huge fans of the Boston Red Sox, and hate the New York Yankees, as addressed in ''Big Hair & Baseball'' (however, in ''Hotel Inspector'', Mr. Moseby bribes the twins with a trip to New York to get them out of the hotel, and they ask for Yankees tickets,through the red sox could be playing in new york or this a error in the script and in ''Maddie Checks In'', they admired a Yankees player, although they didn't want to shake hands with him because he was one). He likes skateboarding, playing basketball, and soccer; all which he is good at. He is also good at dancing, especially hip hop-style dancing. He is always playing pranks on his twin brother, including locking him out in the hall in just a towel twice in the episode "Bowling", and is a lot messier than Cody is.
Although his brother is described as being the sweeter person of the two, Zack has proven to be the more loving brother in many episodes, and often defends Cody from bullies like in ''Kept Man'' where he even undresses into his boxer shorts for his brother. He has also tried to destroy Cody's confidence, as shown in ''French 101''. Zack is more interested in girls, and makes advances on Maddie more frequently than on other girls, going as far as openly flirting with his brother Cody's girlfriends Gwen and Jolie. He tends to drag Cody into predicaments. He usually impresses girls with ease, but they sometimes think he's weird. He is said to have a "pointless" crush on Maddie, but this was disproved in ''A Prom Story''.
Zack has also been seen to be a bit hypocritical, as seen in ''Poor Little Rich Girl'' and ''French 101''.
His tickle spot is the top right of his back as seen in episode ''Aptitude''.
He also thinks that calculus is science.

Skills

He owns and is able to play a harmonica, as shown in "Boston Holiday". He has played lead/rhythm guitar for Rock² in "Band in Boston" with fellow band members Cody Martin on the keyboard and backing vocalist, Max on Bass guitar and backing vocals, and Tapeworm on drums. He also does a very good impression of his mother as seen in the episode What the Hey.
Zack is an exceptional bowler, as seen in "Bowling," averaging 225.
