ZETA VIRGINIS
'Zeta Virginis' (ζ Vir / ζ Virginis) is a star in the constellation Virgo. It also has the traditional name 'Heze', which is not often used and of unclear origin.
The star is known as ''Jiao Xiu 2'' (角宿二) in Chinese constellation.
ζ Virginis is a white main sequence dwarf star of apparent magnitude 3.37 and spectral class A3V about 74 light years from Earth. It has a luminosity 18 times that of the sun with a surface temperature of 8400 kelvins. Its mass is just under 2 solar masses.
The star has an unusually fast rotation period of less than 0.5 days.
