Westin Hotels & Resorts Teams up with Nintendo
If you're traveling this month to New York and you're staying at the Western Times Square or heading to Washington State to stay at the Westin Bellevue, you're in luck. This month at Westin Hotels & Resorts, WestinWORKOUT fitness centres will be featuring specially designed Wii consoles for your daily workout whether you're on business travel or leisure travel!
All About Wii and Westin Hotels & Resorts
Wii, the virtual motion-sensitive video game console by Nintendo, is targeted towards kids and families, and offers a new kind of video game product aside from other violent video games. The console is plugged into a TV and wireless controllers are used to play the games. The controllers, one a remote and another one a "nunchuk," are used by players and their actions and motions are simulated onto the TV screen.
Many of the traditional Wii games, including Big Brain Academy, Wii Degree, Wii Play and Wii Sports will be offered at Westin's Hotels and Resorts. Wii Sports includes games like tennis, golf, baseball, bowling and boxing - all which use the controllers to simulate an actual tennis serve, golf swing or boxing match. Up to 4 players can be plugged in - perfect for family fun on vacation or if it's raining!
Along with the initial 10 Westin Hotels, later this month, the following hotels will also be adding the Wii consoles to their WestinWORKOUT programs: The Westin Hilton Head; The Westin Crown Center, Kansas City; The Westin Harbor Castle, Toronto; The Westin Diplomat, Hollywood; The Westin St. Francis, San Francisco; The Westin St. Louis; The Westin Galleria, Houston; and The Westin Savannah Harbor.
Have fun and don't forget to wear the Wii safety strap around your wrist!
