Intrepid Travel makes adventure travel easy!
Intrepid's tried-and-tested trips which incorporate the region range from a short beach break or four-day cruise on an authentic junk (working boat) to the whopping 103 day St. Petersburg to Bali trip.
Styles range from Intrepid Basix (for backpackers wanting the convenience and know-how of a tour guide) to Comfort ("adventure with a soft landing at night"), to Independent, perfect for adventurers who want to travel on their own or with friends, but who love the idea of a pre-planned itinerary.
A good example is the 18 day Best of Cambodia and Vietnam. Including transportation by overnight train, overnight boat, plane and minivan, the itinerary also dips into Thailand and is priced at $1,625 Cdn plus $300 US for local payment (airfare and most meals not included). There is a maximum of 12 group members.
Or for families where even the youngsters have caught the travel bug, Intrepid has a 12 day trip planned with kids as young as six in mind. The 15 day escorted trip includes an elephant ride, a visit to the wet wonders of the Dam Sen Water Park, a chance to eat with the locals in Ho Chi Minh City and meet local school kids, visits to temples - and even an overnight train ride.
