Pvrpv.com is very grateful to the all of those students who since December 2008 have appeared in the Spanish & English class sessions arranged at the PVRPV office. Pvrpv is also thankful to all the teachers who volunteered for these class sessions. The efforts of the teachers have really made a huge contribution to the betterment of the lives of students and the community as well. English classes will start again in fall and currently, only Spanish classes are being offered.

The students generously donated money for charity. The total amount of money collected is 20,830 pesos out of which 4000 pesos were collected from the Spanish class students and 16,830 pesos from the English class students.

Pvrpv has decided to use this charity money for buying food for Banderas Food Drive. All this would not have been possible without the contribution of the students and the volunteer teachers.

With in time span of two days 66 kg of beans, 65 kg of lentils, 27.8 kg of pasta, 864 cubs of Knorr and 100 kg of rice were collected at the Pvrpv office. Pvrpv office is among the drop-off sites for the food drive.

The food drive organizers have appealed to the donors to donate items including Rice, Pasta (soup pasta packaged, dried), Bouillon Cubes (consume cubes), Lentils (dried), Beans (dried, not canned, packaged).

The target is to collect packages that will feed more than 600 families (2 children and 2 adults for one week). There is urgent need for Bouillon Cubes, Lentils and Beans so that the first batch could be completed that will be sent on 29th May, 2009.
