The Lion King on Broadway: A Must See

The Lion King on Broadway is breathtaking, no doubt. For me, and many other fans of the musical, it leads to goose bumps and giggles galore. The second the show starts, the audience is immersed in the sensational music by Elton John and human-turned-animal costumes. I’m sure you have all heard about the performers traipsing down the aisles during the opening number. Trust me, hearing about it and experiencing every spectacular note is quite a different thing. It is, in fact, one of my favorite parts of the show.

Throughout the show the audience is introduced to all of their favorites, including the hilarious hyenas, Scar, Rafiki and, who could forget, Timon and Pumbaa. These lovable characters have been part of our homes since the release of the animated film in 1994. And, for several of us, the soundtrack has been stuck in our heads for over 18 years. Dont worry, it is perfectly acceptable for you to sing along during the show.

In April, The Lion King was crowned with the title of the highest-grossing Broadway show of all time along with the sixth longest-running show. It has been confirmed by many more people then just me, The Lion King is beloved by all and seeing it on Broadway is a must.

The Lion King is on stage at the Bob Carr until May 13th. Tickets are available on www.orlandovenues.net.

I’m a writer and a digital diva. In other words, when I’m not writing, I’m shooting photos or video. My favorite travel spots lately include Madrid, for its stunning architecture; Colorado, for its heart-pounding hikes and breath-taking scenery; and the Galapagos Islands, for its sea lions, whales and blue-footed boobies.

I am a huge fan of the Flower & Garden festival for a ton of reasons. For starters, it takes more than a year to concept, cultivate, design and install, utilizing about 24,000 cast members in the process. This year features 30 million blooms blanketing the park for the full 75 days...

Boerne, TX: Land of Incredible Shopping
Antique shopping is like a modern day treasure hunt. As I rummage through cluttered shelves filled with hidden gems and oddities, I cross my fingers for a 48-piece china set for $10 or antique costume jewelry for less than a new haircut. You just never know what you’re going to find. And...
