There’s a tasty new feature and attraction for food lovers and gourmet diners at the luxurious Scottish hotel and 4AA restaurant, The Boath House Hotel (www.boath-house.com), located in Auldearn, Nairn, near Inverness in beautiful Scotland.

The Boath House Hotel has been described as one of the most beautiful regency houses in Scotland. Built around 1820, the grounds and walled garden (and some of the trees) date back to the time of Mary Queen of Scots.

Head chef Charlie Lockley has unveiled a new daily gourmet six-course menu that will demonstrate his unique style of Scottish cuisine, which is both imaginative and simple.  This inspiring new six-course menu is priced at £65 per person (or $105 USD).

Confit of Salmon, Beetroot Jelly & Quails EggChef Lockley’s menu combinations are inspired by the seasons and include many foraged food ingredients from the coastline to the hedgerow. All dishes cooked for the 26-seater Georgian dining room restaurant are made using organic ingredients.

Charlie and the owners Wendy and Don Matheson are also exponents of the slow food movement so as much as possible the ingredients are grown on site in the hotels extensive 20 acres grounds and Victorian kitchen gardens or sourced from local meat providers, dairies and fishermen.
