Biking the Orting Foothills Trail. The river at the left is the Carbon river which is born at the base of the Carbon Glacier, slowly creeping down the northwest flank of Mt Rainer. It's the only non-damned glacier feed river feeding Puget Sound. In the fall, large King Salmon up to 40 pounds travel upstream to spawn in the gravel beds.
