The road is the Phantom Canyon Road. 27 miles estimated travel time is about 2 hours. It took us just over 3 hours but we stopped several times. The road varies from 4500 feet above sea level to 9500 feet. I think its the old Florence & Cripple Creek railroad right of way. The road was rough but the scenery was spectacular. |
