 | The Beach Punta Cana Dominican Republic The Dominican Republic is one of my all time favourite Caribbean destinations. Fantastic memories of great people, beautiful scenery, grand resorts and things like...The last time we stayed in laromana (Bayahibe) our arrival point was in Punta Cana so we had to take a bus ride of about 11/2 hours to our resort. On the return trip a bridge was washed out so there was this long detour to take, it's late at night, full moon and we have less than 2 hours to catch our flight. Here we are traveling in a small bus down an old very rutted out road(if you could call it that) in the DR countryside. At times our road was a washed out river bed, the small bus precariously leaning side to side as we made our way. It was all good fun. |

If some or any of this footage is sideways, it's because her ipod phone/camera takes pictures upright and sideways. She may be a bit of a goof but I love her anyway. What CAN I say? BTW, United Airlines lost her luggage and by the time we got it back, many things were taken from her baggage. One of them, my web-camera so we'd be able to Skype back and forth. But thanks to some thief, we were not able to talk while she was on vacation. Much of her jewelry, cloths, cosmetics, make-up and a lot of other things are gone... If you ever go there, you can only stay in the compound because many on the island hate tourists. Not all, but enough to make it dangerous. If you leave the tourist compound, you're taking your life into your own hands. Very dangerous!!! |
