 | Passporters Expedition 2009 - Santo Domingo Ciudad Colonial During Passporters Expedition 2009, we saw a picture of a man (chichi Vera) being electrocuted. A local Dominican was kind enough to give Passporters a history lesson about Rafael Leonidas Trujillo Molina, once dictator of the Dominican Republic and the man responsible for this and many electrocutions.  | A benefit we held in Santo Domingo, DR for the Batey Relief Alliance and La Casa Rosada Orphanage as a part of the Dominican Island Heat I event. Sponsored in part by HBO we were disappointed by the lack of attendance. It is our belief that everyone should try and give back to a poor country during there wonderful vacation. Every little bit help. We were able to raise $1000.00 to help both these causes do their good work.
