The Christmas Tree Hunt Begins.
Early on Thanksgiving morning (November 26, 2009) we travel five miles into a logging road on the mountains northwest of Sattley California. Unloading from our vehicles, we grab our saws and begin to search for the "Perfect Christmas Tree". The air is clear, the snow is about one foot deep. there is not another person in the mountains besides our group. It is breathtaking.
Camping Lake Tahoe and south
pools of Bumpass Hell. It will join the ash and boiling sulfurous water of Bumpass Hell only to head down stream through Lassen National Park. This is the extreme Earth as we know it. I continue on......past Sattley to Lake Tahoe. Cheap vacation but so fulfilling! I then travel farther to the Carson River and to Topaz Lake into Nevada. The end of Highway 89. This is one of the best trips I have taken in years. It was wild yet tranquil. I like the sound of water and wind. So....... No ...
