| Useful tips | Visit David Hoch at Staniel Cay Cottages if you're looking for a laid back place to stay in good company. It's where the cast & crew of James Bond Thunderball partied & stayed during filming at the nearby Thunderball grotto. Also, be sure to check out the swimming pigs and black iguanas. For a bit more social atmosphere, check out the Peace & Plenty in George Town - it's where Johnny Depp accepted a Golden Globe Award on national tv a few years back. For arguably the best conch salad and beach bar in The Bahamas and a really laid-back sailor's dream-spot, check out the Chat 'n' Chill. Just be careful if you ask for hot pepper in yours as that means fresh scotch bonnets. |
