| Itinerary/Activities | My first visit and we stayed at multiple places! First two nights we stayed at the Stay hotel, nothing big, but literally 1.5 blocks away from the beach. The next two nights we stayed with friends at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, again, nice location to the beach, Tues night we stayed with friends who were on the beach, their lanai was literally over the beach and our final night we stayed at the aqua Waikiki pearl, about 3-5blocks away from the beach, but close to the night life of Kuhio drive. Not to mention we got a free upgrade to a two bed suite, which we didn't need since it was just the two of us. |
| Most memorable part of trip | During this trip, i made plans to hike diamond head, note to self, do NOT run up the first 6-8 steps before the tunnel, the minute you come out of the tunnel to the right is about 50 steep steps, only to be followed by a cast iron two story stair case and then you crawl thru this space and Woala!! the most beautiful view ever. We made it to the top took a few pictures and upon descending we found this one lookout and there, is where i spread some of my brother's ashes! He may not have traveled in life, but he will forever be in Hawaii. |
| Useful tips | While the nicer hotel are nice, remember you are in HAWAII, get out and enjoy. Our first hotel was off Koa ave, nothing to brag about, but we did have a small view of the beach and again 1.5 blocks away. Friends who stayed at the Marrioit paid double our nightly and further away! My first time there was the best, had my love, my best friend and his friends!! Our next trip which is in the works of being talked about, will just be the two of us!! Hard to enjoy doing couple things with friends wanting to spend each day with you! But wouldn't change that for anything. |
