Itinerary/ActivitiesAwesome trip!
Machu Picchu is so recommendable hike it even from the nearest town of aguas calientes! Dont ride the lame bus up!
History here is alive in this country and museums show it! Visit as many as you can, we did! Learned a LOT!

Bolivia is cheap and horseriding in the canyons was awesome!
Death Road cycling outside La paz was such an adventure!

Chile is gorgeous and so diverse, more westernized but fun for every kinda traveler. Huilo Huilo Bio Region is unique and jaw dropping with its architectural eco spas and camping facilities looking out to one of dozens volcanoes in the area.

Argentina has amazing country side, rustic. Entering from Chile's mountain side was a must do. Cottage country here.
Beaches are so hot in summer and still in spring.

Uruguay has amazing beaches! No biggie in national parks of lack there of, but it is small and do-able to see the whole coast in two weeks. Rustic too.

Brazil is a contraversy of rich and poor. Beaches are ofcourse amazing, you really need connections or know to areas to get outside outside of the cities or towns to see cool national geographic kinda sights like dunes, canyons in the jungle or private beaches. Hot one in the summer, super humid.

*always know of festivals, theyre great but a bed taker.

Most memorable part of tripMachu Picchu and hangliding in Chile's mountains!

Got pregnant in Uruguay so that was a nice surprise to have come home with a the best souvenir possible.
Useful tipsAgain, find out festivals in this continent, theyre as common as in europe. Colourful, and reserve for these times, we never did but paid the price for it a couple of times. Not bad considering it was a 6 month trip.

Getting to meet people on the way was amazing too. Even though we were two, we were keen to not being anitsocial and talked while traveling on buses, or waiting in terminals, or in lobbies, in general -were convo starters. We got homes to stay in, or invited for mate yerba with cowboys in Argentina. So on...

Click away. If you have the space, its better to have 10 shots of that statue by the beach and have at least one great turnout from it.

Avoid water if possible in the beginning unless you've broken that in other countries or trips -i thought i did in Morocco, but i did not.

Enjoy it, rain or shine, we left just before spring sprung so we were lucky with weather, left just before fall and only got rained on 7 times!
