Golden Clough Bridge, Edale

Title:
Golden Clough Bridge, Edale

Description:
As well as traditional turning, Robin Wood also makes countryside furniture. His latest piece is a wooden footbridge, carved from a naturally-curved sweet chestnut tree growing just 200 yards from the site. This beautiful bridge is in a special location; it is easily accessible but as you cross over it you come out onto open moorland and get a real sense of entering a wild and beautiful place.

making a timber frame building
Visiting German craftsmen Michail Schütte and Hannes Schnelle made this small timber frame building for us as a log and bicycle store. The end will have weather boards to protect it from the prevailing wind and for the moment it will just have a galvanised sheet roof. Once we have the time and money it will be topped with a shingle roof.
