The Gila Cliff Dwellings in New Mexico are amazing. You can actually walk inside the cliff dwellings themselves and feel as if transported back to a long lost time. Like me, you'll probably find yourself fascinated by their fantastic creations and wonder what life must have been like for the people who lived there. In this video you will see the Gila wilderness area, the Gila river, the cliff dwellings, and some petroglyphs. If you're lucky enough to visit this place make sure you wear good hiking boots because the trail to the cliff dwellings is rocky and steep. Also, these cliff dwellings are located in a very remote area of New Mexico with no services whatsoever. So make sure you fill up your vehicle with gas in Silver City, carry plenty of drinking water, and pack a picnic lunch before you head out on your adventure.
