He loves to eat veggies but likes bananas and apples better! You will see him using his little pincher to eat with. Then you will see him change into a different shell. That was the first time I ever got to see it! So when it happened I wasn't paying attention and the camera was a little off! lol Then at the end you will see him eating again! In some places it's blurry, my camera wouldn't keep it in focused! Please take a moment to rate and comment.

we got some pet hermit crabs, but didn't realize until after the fact that they are nocturnal--ie not very fun during the daytime, so i bought this d-link dcs-g900 wireless webcam, whipped up some perl scripts and put it on a tripod to watch the crabs at nighttime. they regulary trash the tank.
Hermit Crab as Big as My Head
HUGE hermit crab on Caye Caulker, Belize, Central America. This amazing critter lives in the Mini-Reserve (run by the Caye Caulker Branch of the Belize Tourism Industry Association) just north of the airstrip. I honestly could not believe my eyes when I saw how huge this crab was.
