Delaware River flood @ Callicoon, NY - upstream
June 27, 2006 -- taken with my Canon powershot SD400 camera. The water was about 17-18 feet high when I shot this (its normal height is 3-4 feet in this stretch of the valley). At 00:06 is a mass of debris that collected on one of the piers; it's even bigger now (on the 28th) and generates a significant wake.
