There are many ways to travel to an Orlando Magic Basketball game, but did you know you could ride there by train?!?! The Inland Lakes Railway has partnered with the Orlando Magic franchise to take fans to selected basketball games. Check their site at www.inlandlakesrailway.com to view the upcoming games they will be serving. This video was taken on Wednesday, January 30, 2008. The train traveled from Eustis to Tavares, and then to Orlando, FL. The engineer driving the train is Thomas East. He is one of the youngest certified engineers in Florida at age 19. The first scene was taken at Apopka, FL. You can even see the old dilapidated Apopka station in the background. The second scene was taken by a small yard in Orlando. The final scenes were taken in downtown Orlando, just blocks from the Amway Arena. In addition to runby's, you will see a little bit of cab footage, and Amtrak's Silver Star in downtown Orlando. Extra note: In the second clip, engineer Thomas gives me a "Shave and a Haircut, Two Bits" and the nearby cars driving by respond to him by honking there horns too! LOL.  | Amtrak Arrives in Winter Park at Night On Friday, Jan 25, 2007, Thomas East and I did some railfanning together. The last thing we did that night was catch P092 arrive into Winter Park, FL. Recently Amtrak made another adjustment to P092's schedule, setting it to arrive at 7:41pm.
