Title:
Toronto Discoveries - Blading to the Liberty Grand
Description:
This video clip was taken on September 29, 2007. On this gorgeous early fall day I decided to explore Toronto's Western waterfront on my inline skates. I parked my car at Marie Curtis Park and bladed eastwards, past some of the condo developments next to the mouth of the Humber River. After Sunnyside Park I skated into the CNE grounds and checked out some of the classical early 20th century architecture there. Following a brief rest in the sun west of Ontario Place I headed back, took my blades off and started to snap some pictures of some of the interesting plants that were growing at the waterfront. I am actually a travel writer who loves to explore international destinations as well as my chosen home town of Toronto. On Youtube you will find hundreds of video clips from a wide variety of destinations. Feel free to check out some of my 700+ articles and interviews on http://www.travelandtransitions.com. Also, my travel e-books containing stories from my trips to destinations such as Sicily, Havana, Mexico City, New York City, Chicago, Florida, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, Halifax and many others are available right now at http://www.travelandtransitions.com/e-books.htm.

![]() | Toronto Discoveries - Broadview and Queen Street East Thefact that it's already late October (Oct 28) didn't deter me from another bike ride. So at about 10:30 am this morning I linked up with my friend Randy at the Taylor Park Bridge in the Don Valley. We cycled down on the west side of the River on a packed dirt trail that is quite reminiscent of a roller coaster, with all its exhilarating curves and turns. Just south of the Leaside Bridge we arrived at the makeshift dirt riding park that has been created in the middle of the woods by a group ... |

Free from the constraints of a wedding's location and time limitations, it allows both the photographer and couple to expand on the magic of the day. The final work includes music, images and video, all seamlessly combined into one piece. We call this an Artäge or "Art Collage". All images and video clips were captured with the Canon 5D ... |

After meeting at the famous and eclectic OCAD Building (I call it the "gift box on stilts") just south of the University of Toronto, Bruce took us past the Grange, Toronto's oldest building, past the Art Gallery of Toronto to some of the mansions along Beverley and Baldwin Streets. Along the way Bruce explained to us the early history of Toronto, and the family ... |
