This is our Novus Ordo choir performing the famous "I Was Glad," by Sir Hubert Parry. This was sung at a special Mass we had on Sunday, February 8, 2009, where Archbishop Kurtz formally dedicated our newly renovated Novus Ordo alter. It just so happened that the responsorial psalm for this special Mass was Psalm 122, which Parry's piece was based on. We played the music for the "Vivat Regina/Rex" part in the middle, but instead of singing the original lyrics, we stuck in part of Psalm 150 ...
