Day 11 - Blue Hole - Santa Rosa
Santa Rosa rest atop limestone much like Central Florida and likewise has several lakes that were formed by sinkholes. Santa Rosa's Blue Hole is 81 ft deep and pumps out fresh water like a spring. It appeared from the signs surrounding the hole that it was often used for scuba diving and in the hole itself there were semi permanent submerged platforms, possibly for decompressions stops. Anyhow check out the video to see this natural wonder first hand and see what I look like wet in 40 degree ...

Blue Hole New Mexico SCUBA
Diving Blue Hole New Mexico. Fair conditions using a Go Pro Hero. Altitude compensated to over 100 feet deep. Good views from what a diver might see with the camera mounted to the top of a SCUBA mask. The grate you see is at about 84 feet. Decent view of just how big Blue Hole is when you dive. Please leave a comment. Enjoy!

(b|ro)ad trip
August 2007-Nick Bacos, Arash Amini and myself went on a random road trip on route 66 to California. Having overcome multiple obstacles we finally made a good stop at Santa Rosa Lake, New Mexico for some decent relaxturbation time. Arash ate a couple hits of lsd about 40 minutes prior to his jump, it was kicking in right around this time. COMMENTARY BY NICK BACOS

In April 2007 William Trubridge set a new world record in Unassisted Freediving, descending to 82 meters (269 feet) and returning without the use of fins or any other assistance. This is the official video of the world record, presented by Vertical Blue (www.verticalblue.net) The dive took place at Dean's Blue Hole, Bahamas, which at 203m (660 feet) is the deepest blue hole in the world. The video uses music from the Gladiator soundtrack as well as 'Solar Stone' by Seven Cities....
