America In Bloom Judges travel to cities participating in the competition once each year based on population. The City of Arroyo Grande entered in the Annual America in Bloom Competition for the 2nd time this year. The America In Bloom Judges arrived on June 1st, to once again judge the City of Arroyo Grande in the Annual America in Bloom Competition. Last year Arroyo Grande placed 2nd. This year Arroyo Grande is competing against, Artesia, California, Colleyville, Texas, Northfield, Minnesota, and Stuart, Florida. The two judges this year are, Bruce Riggs of New Rochelle, New York and Pat Bones of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Arroyo Grande in Bloom Team are: Bob Lund, Program Coordinator and Co-Chair, Jim Bergman, Tidiness Director and Co-Chair, Vivian Krug, Publicity Director and Webmaster, Linda Shepard, Judges Manual, Ron Kindig, Landscaped Areas Director, Karen Franck, Floral Displays Director, Jane Line, Heritage Director, Kristen Barneich, Urban Forestry Director, Kevin Rocha, Turf and Groundcover Director, and Mary Giambalvo, Environmental Director.
