Gas has been scarce in WNC since Hurricane Ike touched down, with long lines and empty stations. I needed gas this morning so woke up at 6:30 AM to beat the crowds. I thought I would share my journey.

Magnolia's in Asheville North Carolina was jumping as usual, with a live band and the uncommon mixed crowd they always bring to this club. It seems like everyone from 21 - 60 hanging out having a great time, pretty cool area, little scuffles here and there but overall a great established place in Asheville. Manager Chris was awesome tonight... watched him deal very well with 3 seperate situations in the 30 minutes I was there. Great job Chris & the other Chris too. magnoliasasheville.com...

Asheville Yacht Club - Sailing In Asheville NC!
Stopped by Beaver Lake on Merrimon Avenue today and met some of the members of the Asheville Yacht Club. These folks were into it. Very peaceful hobby. Kind of like outdoor video games.
