From France - According to research in the Archives of Neurology, implanting electrodes to stimulate the brains of those suffering from Parkinson's appears to lower the need for medications and improve motor function, but the procedure may not work for everyone. In a study of 7 patients who failed initial implantation, researchers noted that if these patients had electrodes placed closer to the subthalamic nucleus motor activity improved by 60% and need for levodopa fell by over 50%. Camee-24 hours after her last dose of clonezapam. She is still receiving 1-25/100 tab of carpadopa/levadopa in the am, 1/2 tab of the same about two hours later and then another 1 tab of the same about six hours after the first dose. Her movement is very stiff. She is having great difficulty staightening her limbs and seems to be quite uncomfortable.
