Beyond Reality - Amazing Race Finale 1/20/08 11 teams began in Los Angeles & now we're down to the final 3 Ron & Christina - Fighting Dad & Daughter Nick & Don - Grandpa & Grandson TK & Rachel - The Dating Couple Teams must fly 4,500 miles to Anchorage Alaska - the final city in the Race Once there they have to go to 6th Avenue Outfitters to get their next clue & pick up gear Everyone is on the same flight to Anchorage Ron & Christina used the airport lounge to find out info on the destination via the internet Ron & Christina reach 6th Avenue Outfitters 1st From there they must go to Waterfront Ship Creek Boat Launch Detour - Cut the Cod or Grab the Crab Cut the Cod - Filet some giant cod & find the clue inside Grab the crab - Search a Crab holding tank to find the one with the race colors on it Grandpa & Nick forgot to get their gear at the store Ron & Christina choose the cod and find the clue right away Now they must travel by taxi to the boat landing where they will take a high speed boat to 20 mile glacier & scale the glacier TK & Rachel choose crab and find it so hard they are ready to give up just before they find the marked crab Gramps & Nick realize they are missing their gear and have to go back Gramps & Nick choose cod and find their clue right away At the glacier Christina has trouble climbing it After the glacier teams must take a helicopter to Merrill Field and a taxi to Goose Lake Park There they will find the roadblock Roadblock - relive the race - One team member must choose ten of the fifteen objects that fit the list of requirements - they must put them on the stage and if they are right the clue box will pop open They are all even at the Roadblock and everyone is having a hard time getting all ten of the correct objects Rachel finished first and was instructed to travel by taxi to the Captain Cook Statue Christina finished next and was right behind TK & Rachel At the statue they were told to find the Salmon Hooker on foot TK & Rachel and Ron & Christina were pretty much tied at the salmon Final clue - take a taxi to Girdwood airport and run to the finish line Everyone who has been eliminated is waiting there and TK & Rachel win the Amazing Race TK is totally freaked out by it all Ron & Christina come in 2nd place Nick & Don come in third - Don is the oldest person to ever finish the race and not win Congratulations TK & Rachel!
