Whittier Law in Israel 2008 Promo

Description:
For the fifth consecutive year, Whittier Law School is proud to announce its Summer in Israel study abroad program. This unique program is the only one of its kind. The program began in 2004 and since then, no other ABA-accredited institution has successfully offered a study abroad program in Israel every summer. Program will focus on courses relevant to the region: state and religion; Jewish Law, Christianity and the Law; the Holocaust and genocide; terrorism and human rights; and ADR in Israel, all from a perspective that can only be gained by traveling to Israel. In addition to unique course work, the Israel program provides a one-of-a-kind cultural experience, including a FREE ALL-DAY GUIDED TOUR OF JERUSALEM AND ITS HOLY SITES. Optional tours are also available to the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee, the Jordan River, Nazareth, Eilat, the lost city of Petra in Jordan, and Cairo and its pyramids. In past years, one of the legal tours that students have enjoyed most is a visit to the Israeli Supreme Court, and a private visit with a supreme court justice. We also visit the largest law firm in Israel, the Tel Aviv trial court, the Holocaust Museum at Yad Vashem, and the Knesset (the Israeli parliament and/or the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem). A private bus will be at our disposal to take us to classes at Bar-Ilan University School of Law and all legal tours.
