Verendrye Electric is doing its part by bringing a St. Baldrick's event to Minot. "I'm absolutely overwhelmed with the response at Verendrye," says Bruce Carlson, general manager of Verendrye Electric. "I'm honored to shave my head for this tremendous cause. Our long-term office manager is battling cancer. When you've got a situation at home and you've got somebody that you care for who is seriously ill, it's real easy to get involved. This is one thing we can do in solidarity for her and for all the kids fighting this terrible disease." Verendrye's event took place March 19 at 12:30 p.m. at the cooperative's office in Velva. www.basinelectric.com
