Roong and John get caught in a hail storm while climbing Mt Lassen Peak. At 9500ft elevation we get hit by a hard hail storm. We try to hide under a nearby rock, but decide its best to make our way down the mountain. Yikes! Those little hail balls hurt!!!

Boiling mud pot - Mt. Lassen
Boiling mud pot on Mt. Lassen, an active volcano in the Cascade range in Northen California. The bubbling sound is from the mud boiling in the pit. Looking directly down into the pit only steam was visible.
